A park of Dalias next to the Basilica Madrid has a new green space, located in a privileged surrounding, next to the South flank of the Basilica of San Francisco the Great. It is a garden of 4,400 square meters in which ten varieties of dalias species, plants of spectacular flowering throughout the summer, 85 trees (magnolios, photinias, prunos, privets, to liquidambar, cherry trees and laurels), and 2,500 shrubs. Also, a new viewpoint from which the park of the Cornice can be contemplated and, more to the distance, the Parque del Oeste ( West Park). The mayor of Madrid, Alberto Ruiz-Gallardón, has inaugurated this green zone executed by GRUPORAGA,S.A., part of the project of improvement of the surroundings of the Basilica and obeys to the local neighbours demand.
