                                Environmental Projects     

            The projects carried out by GRUPORAGA, S.A in recent years were basically performed in areas such as gardening, watering, tree and shrub supply, urbanisation, and sludge management. The volume of contracted work has been growing at a significant rate every year, with those projects of large volume and a certain complexity being of particular relevance.

            During 2003, the companies that now constitute GRUPORAGA, S.A achieved a turnover of more than 6 million euros. Turnover for projects in 2004 saw slight growth. Therefore, with the temporary joint ventures constituted during the year, the company achieved a turnover of 7.5 million euros.

            The most significant projects of the year were those for the conditioning and improvement of the San Isidro Park, completed for the Madrid City Hall; the landscaping work in the Torreón Park 1st Phase in Pozuelo de Alarcón completed for the City Hall; and the gardening works, watering network, plants supply, and other services for the Banco Santander Central Hispano, in the Financial City of Boadilla del Monte in Madrid.

            2005 saw an increase in turnover with respect to projects, largely exceeding 10 million euros for this item. In that year, benchmark projects were undertaken such as the Financial City of Banco Santander in Boadilla del Monte.

            Benchmark projects for that year also included the environmental improvement and reconditioning of the gardening for various Collado-Villalba roundabouts, and the expansion of the automatic watering system and renovation of the drinking-water networks of the Buen Retiro gardens and the Quinta de la Fuente del Berro.

             2006 also closed with positive figures, as invoiced work reached 15 million euros. Important projects included the remodelling and reconditioning of the Sepúlveda road, improvements to the parks of the Madrid City Hall, gardening project and watering network in the metro project at the Legazpi station, tree transplanting and cutting in the Valdebebas park, and reconditioning of resting areas of the Manzanares Park and others.

            Another important contribution to turnover during the year resulted from the continuation of the project in the Financial City of Santander in Boadilla del Monte, with gardening work, watering network, plant supply, and other services.

            At the present,  Gruporaga, S.A.has started at a good pace as regards projects, specifically large projects such as the re-landscaping of Boadilla for the construction and infrastructure work on the new Light Metro line from Colonia Jardín to Boadilla del Monte, for the Boadilla Metro (currently in process) temporary joint venture and the gardening and plant supply work for the  Expoagua Zaragoza 2008, which is also currently in the execution phase.
