Economic Results of year 2006

        GRUPORAGA, S.A.., currently has a wide-ranging portfolio of clients and employs nearly 800 people. During 2006, it continued its expansion throughout Spain and now has various branches in Madrid, León, and Zaragoza, as well as various works and maintenance works in other autonomous communities.

        During the 2006 business year, sales growth was strengthened with an increase from 15,600,000 to 30,000,000 euros taking into account the UTES sales made during the period, and its own resources continue to be restructured and optimised, with profit seeing a spectacular increase of more than 139.5%. The sales margin has also improved again, with a year-on-year increase from 19.8% in 2005 to 38.6% in 2006.

        The growth experienced over the last few years, more than 450% in 3 years, is based on the following factors:

• The large number of public and private long-term contracts that it holds.
• Premium client portfolio.
• The large team of employees that make up the company, most of them being experienced and qualified technicians. We currently have more than 40 middle-grade technicians and 30 with higher-education qualifications as part of the staff, thus increasing the professionalism of the productive areas and the administrative areas of the company.  
• The commitment to the quality of our products and respect for the environment.

        As a highlight of the 2006 business year, it is worth pointing out the definitive commitment to the environment, incorporating new business and research areas into the productive processes to guarantee the health of the company.

In the last business year, GRUPORAGA,S.A. has invested about 4,000,000 euros in state-of-the-art facilities in the field of environmental science. These investments, provide the most up-to-date technologies, are of an experimental nature and aim to find solutions for the treatment of waste.        

Advance of present exercise

        Sales in the current business year have started at a good pace, and given the volume of work in portfolio, it is likely that the company will close the year with a turnover of about 40 million euros and results still better than in previous years.
